MUA eyeshadow palette review

Monday, 7 April 2014
Over the last few months I started noticing alot of posts regarding MUA at Superdrug, not only are their products so cheap, apparently they were great quality too! I picked up a few of their eye shadow palette's to give them a go and see what all the hype was about!

MUA Undressed Palette - £4.00
This was the first palette I originally picked up. quite a few of MUA products are always sold out, especially as the Superdrug by me is quite little. So I found this palette which was the 'undressed' one, I was really drawn to all the pearly sort of 'nudey' shades, which I thought I would get the most use out of. For some reason the shade's don't actually have names.. just numbers on this palette but Shade 1 (top left) is my most used and favorite. All the shadow's are really nice and pigmented.. especially for the price I literally couldn't believe how good this palette was. They apply smoothly and blend together really nicely. I love the rose.. pinky coloured tones but I haven't yet braved the blues, I think they're a little bit random in this palette to be honest.. but I adore this palette so much I bought another!

MUA Ever After, Matte Palette - £3.00
After having such good use out of the Undressed palette, I knew I had to try something else from MUA. I really wanted more of a matte palette, as the Undressed one is so pearly. They had this 'ever after' palette for just £3.00, there are less eyeshadows as there is 10 not 12, but again I loved the nude feel to this palette so I picked it up. I have'nt actually used this palette as much as I hoped I would.. possibly because its more of a day-time look palette? But I found that their matte shades just aren't as good as the Undressed palette. They aren't terrible, still pigmented (not as much) but they still feel silky smooth and blend really well. I feel that the shades just aren't as strong as the more pearly shadows. I will definatley still continue to use this palette and get some more use out of it, but for the price it is just such good value for money, and if you're just waiting to try MUA out, just go for it.. for the price the quality is great!

I'm also loving MUA's Eyebrow Kit, which I'll write a review on soon! Do you love MUA? What products would you recommend?
