Hello all, If you follow me on twitter you would know that I was so excited about these little purchases. I am obsessed addicted with home fragrance.. I can't keep my purse away from it all. Since being at university I find that candles, oils and burners just make my room that much more cosy. I am constantly collecting candles and oils and this was my recent haul from a shop called 'the candle jar' it is however based in Bournemouth. If you have a candle shop near you go visit! It's such a lovely experience, you even smell coffee beans to cleanse your smell.. palette!
Wax Tart Burner // Yankee Candle // £7.60
I've been after a wax tart burner ever since I discovered my love for Yankee candles.. I bought this from my local candle shop, I wanted something quite neutral and clean to fit in with my room theme, so I picked up this simple white design. The top is big enough for the wax tart to sit, after you put the tealight underneath, it starts to melt the wax and releases the most beautiful aroma's. My room smelt like an aromatherapy room! (tehe)
They do some wonderful burner styles, some with glass and beautiful stones set into the ceramic, they are however much more expensive.. So I picked this cheaper simple one.
Wax tart melts // Yankee Candle // £1.30 each
Now I had my wax burner, obviously I had to buy some wax melts. I picked up 4 of them, at £1.30 each, I think its so much more cost effective than constantly buying candles. The good thing about these wax melts, is it is literally pure fragrance as there is no wick to burn away the scent!
I was previously obsessed with my oil burner as essentially it does the same thing.. except with steam and oils, but these last so long.. they smell so much more stronger than the oils and you don't have to worry about the oils burning out and cracking the burner.
The wax will just melt until all the scent has gone, then you just replace it with a new one! I picked these scents because I prefer to have light refreshing aroma and they smell so gorgeous!
The wax tart that I'm currently burning in my burner, is Bahama Breeze and it smells so beautiful, almost as if you were on holiday.. in the Bahamas? (hehe) I would 100% recommend these wax melt tarts, they are so wonderful and I can't wait to try out all the different scents.
Beach Walk, small candle // Yankee Candle // £7.80
I really wanted to purchase this scent in the wax tarts, but unfortunately they didn't have any.. I think this is quite a popular scent.. It's so fresh and relaxing. I picked up this candle instead to try out. I will however still be buying the tart melt in this once I discover it! I don't really want to use it because it's so lovely. Even the colour of the wax inside just emit's a calm feeling.
Starlytes small candles // 99P Store // 99p each
I stepped into the 99p store and found these little gem's. I will be taking the label off though as I don't really like the design that much. But they are so much like my small Yankee Candle I just purchased. They are in fresh cherries and blueberry muffins, their smell is so nice and for 99p, such a bargain! So far they have lasted for ages too when I've lit them.
Fragrance oils // G&T's // 39p each
This is the oil burner I used before I purchased my wax tart burner, I just picked up a few oils while I was out and they used to be 20p.. so I'm sad that they have decided to double the price. I find that these don't really last that long.. and because I'm loving my tart burner I doubt that they will get used for a while.. but hey I can stock up.
Jasmine Incense Sticks // G&T's // £1.79
Lastly I picked up these Jasmine scented incense sticks, I thought it was a bargain for the price. I don't usually like incense that much, however I wanted to try a more fresher scent.. I find that by burning the fragrance it gives a more musky smell, which I don't usually like. The jasmine however smells really fresh.
It also comes with a free wooden holder, which I thought was cute. It all comes together in that little tub, which I thought was super pretty and I could use it when I've finished for storage!
I've been trying to work better on my photography, I really like how these photographs came out this time! What's your favourite yankee candle scent?
