Get Organised! | MUJI Acrylic Storage

Welcome to my first 'Get Organised' post! I'm quite excited to start doing regular theme posts, I have so many new idea's and I can't wait to share them! This post is about how I organised my makeup.. I hope it gives you some inspiration!

For my birthday I purchased this from MUJI (link) as for some time now I've been thinking about increasing my makeup collection. I thought having this new storage would encourage me to treat myself and fill the box! I have indeed been making more purchases, with birthday money and scouting for the latest deals on makeup.. I am loving my new storage and I'll show you why!

This is what I keep my brushes in, there is enough room to fit my brushes into my box, but I prefer to have them out and ready to use. If you wanted a more sleek look they do sell acrylic tubs especially for your brushes, I just already had this in my room. I bought this from Ikea, it's just a normal desk accessory. I think I may however need to get a bigger one soon..

I bought this to sit on the top of my storage unit as I knew I wouldn't be able to fit the larger items such as my foundation in the drawers. The actual drawers themselves are quite small, so if you are thinking about storage for your foundation I would recommend getting one of these or one of the other options they have online. Also check the measurements of each unit, I knew this would be half of the unit so it would fit on the top. I've seen some reviews when people are complaining about the sizes don't match or whatever but if you didn't check then its your own fault... they do put all the measurements online.

This little box comes with these little acrylic dividers in it, which are removable and can be moved around however you like which is really handy to fit everything in their own sections, especially for those larger items!

On the bottom of the box there are these little rubber feet. Although this is just a tiny feature, it makes a HUGE difference.. It never slips or slides whenever I move my entire box. I know it will stay put. It helps when there's heavy makeup.. nothing's going to fall out.

You may be thinking.. you paid how much for a bit of plastic. Trust me, that's what I thought at first. But my previous box was way too small. I could barely fit any of my makeup in there.. What I like about this box is that the drawers are almost A4 size. I still had room to spare after I filled it!

The acrylic used in this box is much sturdier, more heavier and robust than my old unit. Even the drawers feel a lot more smoother as you move them. Any of the drawers can be removed, which really helps when cleaning them. They do get quite grubby sometimes, especially if you apply foundation with your fingers! 

So that's my makeup storage! I actually really love my MUJI drawers, I think for the price they are actually really worth it. Their sleek design is what really attracts me to them and the fact they're always stackable if you have more makeup! You can mix and match the various different storage items on their site, but as I said.. check the dimensions!

Their postage was super fast and the careful wrapping of my product was amazing.. I would recommend MUJI for their storage, it just makes your makeup look all that much nicer and crisp!
