Hey guys :)

As I'm always getting questions on tumblr about my makeup etc, thought I'd do a little post on my most used and favourite items. Im super pale and due to my blondeness, any foundation with a slight orange tone makes me look like I've stepped into a tanning booth. I like being pale, and i want to stay that way, orange skin isnt a good look for me.

All the pale girls probably know that there is hardly any foundation etc that is affordable that will match their skin tone. It has literally taken me so long to come across products that I am really happy with and don't make me into an orange mess. Alot of trial and error later, the pictures above are what I use now to ensure I stay my lovely ivory skin shade.

I LOVE primer, it just allows me to smooth my foundation on easily and personally I think it produces better coverage. I've recently bought this new primer, I used to use N07's Airbrush away primer, but its mainly for wrinkles etc, so I bought something different. Its the 17 Miracle matte skin primer, it was about £4 i think, which is cheap for primer. I was drawn to it because it's a "matte finish" but also its targeted for oily skin, which due to hormones (hate) I get from time to time. I love having a super matte foundation so hence why i bought this. Its clear in colour, which is good for my paleness. I'm not sure what its like yet to recommend  so we'll see how it goes.

I now use Collection 2000's cover up stick in 01 - light translucent as my foundation. It is supposed to be a concealer but it is so light and the colour is pretty much the palest i could possibly find. I just use this all over my face after the primer and blend in. I love it, it doesn't feel or look too cakey either on my face.

The maxfactor pan stik I used to use all over when I was 14. It is so cakey and thick, and has a slight orange hint, I prefer to use it as a concealer. Its quite creamy so its easy to cover annoying spots, but its also amazing at coverage. I just tend to blend it with my powder to cover blemishes.

I used to use Talc baby powder to stop my skin from being shiny - I love a matte finish, but its super heavy on your skin and its probably not good to cake your face in baby powder every day. I bought the Collection 2000's pressed powder, which was around £1.50 (bargain) I'd never seen this colour because I guess it sells quickly because it is practically white. I actually love this product, it feels so much nicer and lighter than talc (lol) it also leaves your skin quite soft and silky. The colour is 18 - Ivory.

I bleach my eyebrows (as they are naturally VERY dark - stupid genetics) because I love filling them in with pencil. I use Avon's 'perfect eyebrow pencil - brow liner and brush' in "blonde" I find that this shade isnt too light to cover the yellow tint to my eyebrows (gross I know) but they're still light enough to look blondish and not too dark. I also think that it doesn't become too cakey as I found with other pencils.

I love collection 2000's fast stroke eyeliner, it has a hard tipped brush so it helps with winged eyes etc, and I barely ever make a mess of my eyes with this. It literally lasts me ages too! would definatley recommend this, its really cheap too about £3 I think.

Eyelashes are god. I cannot go without them anymore. I buy huge sets from ebay, they are literally all over the site, I bought 30 pairs for about a £5 including postage and they have lasted months. I used Eyelure's strip lash adhesive as I find the cheap glue with the eyelashes is crap. The glue has lasted ages though, its in this cute little tup with its own applicator which makes it so simple and easy to use.

The lipstick. Again, its collection 2000, its number 13 in vintage rose. Its such a lovely natural tone and I love the colour against my pale skin, makes my lips pop, but not overpower. It lasts for ages, and pretty much stays on for most of the day.

As you can tell, I love a bargain, cheap products aren't always nasty, just have to find the right ones! I refuse to pay a ridiculous amount for anything I feel overpriced. Collection 2000 is probably my favourite brand. I do love kate moss's lipstick range, they stick for ages. But for value for money collection 2000 comes on top. Im glad I'm happy with a foundation too that matches my skin tone.
Thanks for reading if you got this far, hope this helps with pale girls too!

Emily.

Have you used 2true before? I use their powder and liquid eyeliner and reckon they're equally as good as Collecions, plus they're 3 for £5 so an absolute bargain! I have pale skin as well, also gone through tons of different foundations trying to find the right one but I'm loving my current one, the Rimmel Match Perfection in shade 010, it's a nice coverage and stays the colour it applies too! Haha, going to have to have a look at that primer next time I'm in town :3

No actually I haven't, I haven't really seen it around in stores, where do you buy it? I might take a little look actually, the foundation is a little awkward as it's concealer, does it have a orange tone to it?
Yeah I've tried the primer and it's really good for shiny or oily skin, instantly takes away the shine, it goes abit crumbly though when you rub it in but I think it's well worth the money! :-)

I get in Superdrug! There's just a like spinny stand of it in my local superdrug and I'm not sure if it's exclusive to Superdrug but it's definitely worth a look. :-)
I'm not sure how to explain the foundation hahah it's worth reading some reviews and swatching it though! x
